2023 Monaco GP Prediction – Formula 1

The sixth Grand Prix of the F1 2023 season is scheduled for the upcoming weekend. Originally, the sixth race of the season should have been in Italy. However, the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was canceled because of severe flooding in the region of the circuit.

The Monaco Grand Prix is a highlight every year, and this year is no exception. In the streets of Monte Carlo, Max Verstappen will try to extend its lead in the world championship. Will Red Bull keep winning? Or will Mercedes finally close the gap with their long awaited upgrade?

Another 1-2 finish for Red Bull in Miami. Max Verstappen showed once more that he is unstoppable. He started from 11th place, but he moved himself to the front in no-time to battle with his fellow team mate Sergio Perez for the first spot. In the end, Max won the race 5 seconds ahead of Perez. Alonso completed the podium with a 3rd place, but 26 seconds behind the winner.

This weekend, there is more time for the competition to improve their cars and close the gap with Red Bull since there is no sprint race planned. Mercedes will be delighted with this as their long awaited upgrade will finally be released.

Weather forecast

The weather conditions in Monaco are always unpredictable. It can be sunny at some point and then out of nowhere it can rain heavily. This weekend, we will see 27 degrees Celsius on Friday during the practice sessions.

On Saturday, during the qualification, it will likely be rainy. The thermometer will hover around 20 degrees Celsius.

Compared with last year, the conditions during the race on Sunday will be perfect: dry and a temperature around 23 degrees Celsius.

In 2019, it was Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes that crossed the finish line first. The Brazilian Ayrton Senna won the GP the most times. He won the GP no less than 6 times, including 5 consecutive times in the early 90s.

Monaco GP Betting Tips

It's gradually becoming a monotonous story with Max Verstappen as the protagonist. Indeed, we expect the Dutch man to win again in Monaco. Red Bull seems stable, and the competition is struggling to get reliable cars on the track.

Given Red Bull's performances in the last races, we once again believe that Max Verstappen will win the Monaco Grand Prix, although he could face some fierce competition from his Mexican team mate. Sergio Perez has proven to be nearly unbeatable on street circuits.

The bigger question is who from the other teams will complete the podium. We give the benefit of the doubt to Mercedes and expect that their upgrade will help them secure a spot on the podium in Monaco.
