Initially owned by Comilla Legends Limited, the team transformed when, on November 16, 2019, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stepped in as a sponsor, leading to a renaming as Cumilla Warriors.

However, this change was short-lived, as the team reverted to its former identity, Comilla Victorians, when the previous owners reclaimed ownership ahead of the 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League, marking a return to their established roots and name.

The Chattogram franchise has been an integral part of the BPL since its inception in 2012, initially competing in the final in 2013 led by Mahmudullah Riyad and coached by Khaled Mahmud. Initially named Chittagong Kings, the team underwent a shift in ownership in 2015, resulting in a rebranding to Chittagong Vikings, under the ownership of DBL Sports Limited, affiliated with DBL Group.

The franchise's journey saw a transition from SQ Sports, the initial owners of Chittagong Kings, who faced allegations of fixing and payment delays to players. As a consequence, SQ Sports, along with other franchise owners involved in corruption scandals, were banned from cricketing activities.

Following these circumstances, DBL Group took the reins in 2015, leading to the transformation of the team into Chittagong Vikings. Amidst various ownership and name changes across franchises, Rangpur Riders stood as an exception, maintaining its original identity.

The franchise entered the Bangladesh Premier League during its inaugural season in 2012. Initially owned by Sylhet Sports Limited under the stewardship of former Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, the team's leadership passed on to his son, Shahed Muhith, who took on the role of Chairman. 

Notably, the team appointed Waqar Younis as head coach and the renowned David Warner as captain for the sixth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. However, following Warner's departure due to injury, former Bangladesh National Cricket Team all-rounder Alok Kapali stepped in as captain.

Underwent several changes in sponsorship and ownership, the team underwent a rebranding phase on November 16, 2019, being renamed Sylhet Thunder with 24Bazar.biz as the sponsor. Ahead of the 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League, another shift in ownership led to a renaming as Sylhet Sunrisers. Continuing this trend, in September 2022, Future Sports Bangladesh acquired ownership, prompting yet another rebranding and the team adopted the name Sylhet Strikers.

They've been a consistent part of the BPL framework since the 2015 competition, initially entering the league as one of its six founding members and continuing their participation in the 2016 edition.

Their journey began in 2012 as the Barisal Burners during the inaugural BPL season, securing the runners-up position. Unfortunately, the Burners faced dissolution after the league's second edition in 2013.

A change in ownership occurred when Axiom Technologies acquired the franchise, leading to a rebranding as the Bulls for the 2015 edition. However, due to the chairman's lifetime ban from cricket, Awwal Bhulu took charge. The Bulls, under the guidance of Graham Ford and captained by Mahmudullah Riyad, participated in the 2015/16 Bangladesh Premier League. Subsequently, in the 2016/17 season, Dav Whatmore and Mushfiqur Rahim served as head coach and captain, respectively.

Financial difficulties led to the team's exclusion from BPL 5. Nonetheless, they made a triumphant return in the 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League under new ownership, revitalizing their presence in the league.

Rangpur Riders

They entered the league fold in 2013, preceding the second edition, and despite several changes in ownership, the team's core structure has remained intact since its inception.

Their breakthrough came in the 5th edition of the BPL, clinching victory over Dhaka Dynamites in the finals and securing their inaugural championship title.

Underwent a sponsorship change on November 16, 2019, when the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) introduced Incepta Pharmaceuticals as the team's sponsor, leading to a renaming as Rangpur Rangers. Unfortunately, the team faced exclusion from the 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League.

However, in September 2022, Bashundhara Group took over ownership, marking a significant moment as the team reverted to its original identity, Rangpur Riders, rekindling the spirit and legacy associated with their prior successes in the league.

The franchise, initially owned by Gemcon Sports, emerged in 2016 as a replacement for the Khulna Royal Bengals, previous participants in the first two seasons of the BPL. Known as the Tigers, they utilized the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, and Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium for their home games.

Under Mahmudullah Riyad's leadership and with Stuart Law as coach, the team competed in the 2016/17 season. Transitioning into the 2017/18 Bangladesh Premier League, the team saw a change in leadership, with Mahela Jayawardene assuming the role of head coach, succeeding Stuart Law, who had taken up coaching duties for the West Indies cricket team.

A significant rebranding occurred on November 16, 2019, when MindTree Limited and Premier Bank Limited were announced as the team's sponsors, leading to a renaming from Khulna Titans to Khulna Tigers, marking a fresh chapter in their BPL journey.
