Who Will Win IPL 2023?

The new season of the Indian Premier League is around the corner and we are in for a different level of cricket in the Indian subcontinent. Since 2008, a lot has changed in the tournament but the thrill and excitement have remained the same.

This year as well, the season will start with some new faces trying their hand in the most elitist T20 cricket league in the world. Every cricketer wants to perform at his best because of the amount of spotlight IPL has. One good performance in the tournament can change the future of the player. The top bookmakers in India have some amazing IPL betting odds on their sites when it comes to the cricketing extravaganza.

But who will win IPL 2023? We have our predictions ready right here!

Our prediction for IPL 2023 winner

This year, there are a few big names that are missing from the tournament. Rishabh Pant is injured and has not recovered from his injuries because of the accident that happened in January. Shreyas Iyer is also set to miss the tournament because of his back injury. India’s most dependable pace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, is still out of action because of his back injury.

However, fans are still thrilled about the new seasons and they are curious to know about the team who will lift the trophy this year. Last year it was the debutants Gujarat Titans who stunned everyone with their performance. According to our stats and analysis, this year, Mumbai Indians look strong and are favourites to win the IPL 2023.

Check out the reasons below.

1) Mumbai Indians have a batting depth

Mumbai Indians were very active during the IPL auctions in Kochi. They bought Australia’s rising star Cameron Green for 17.50 Crores. As Green joins the team, Mumbai Indians will have the best batting lineup in the tournament.

Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma will be opening the game with Green at the third spot who has maintained his strike rate at 173.75 in T20 cricket. Suryakumar Yadav will be in the spotlight again. In 2022, Surya was part of 31 T20 internationals and maintained his strike rate at 187.43.

In 2023, he played 6 T20s and his strike rate was 152.57. Dewald Brevis and Tilak Verma will also be part of the squad and they are expected to play a strong role in the middle order.

2) A new lineup of Bowlers

It has been noticed in the past few years that MI’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah takes all the pressure off the team to pick wickets at the start of the match. However, this year it is going to be different. In Bumrah’s absence, Jofra Archer will be in the spotlight.

Archer is making his comeback to IPL after two years of absence. He has just made his comeback to international cricket with 3 T20 games and 4 wickets in his pocket. To support Archer, Mumbai Indians will have Jason Behrendorff who has been part of 5 IPL matches only but has picked up 5 wickets overall.

The bowling lineup of Mumbai is new and has some new faces in it but these players are motivated to do a good job for a better future for the team.
