1) Jos Buttler
The English T20 expert turned out to be a powerhouse for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022. Jos Buttler became the highest scorer of IPL 2022 with 863 runs in 17 games at an average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05.
He continued the momentum in international cricket as well became one of the co-conspirators for Englandβs T20 World Cup win. In 2022, Jos Buttler scored 462 runs in 15 games at an average of 35.53 and a strike rate of 160.41. Buttler has the ability to score quick runs and that will again benefit the Royals in IPL 2023.
2) Adam Zampa
The Australian spin maestro had a good year in 2022 and he made headlines with his brilliant performances in international cricket. He made his debut in IPL in 2016 for Rising Pune Supergiants but failed to make an impact and once the team was dismantled, nobody was interested to sign the player.
In 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore showed interest in him but the player completely failed to make an impact, and hence the franchise chose to release him. Joe Root is an experienced player who has proved his worth in Test cricket. However, when it comes to T20 cricket, he has not been as effective. It will be interesting to see how Rootβs experience will be used by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023.
