Delhi Capitals received a major blow months before the beginning of the IPL 2023. Captain Rishabh Pant has met with an accident and there are reports that he will be missing out on the entire season of the IPL.

The franchise bought him for 5.5 Crore and the player will be making his debut for IPL this year. It was made possible purely because of his commitment to the game and his strong credentials in domestic cricket.
Mukesh is a right-arm pace bowler who can be deadly with the new ball and can destroy the opening attack of the opposition. In December 2022, earned his maiden call-up to the Indian cricket team for their Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Sri Lanka but has not played a single game yet.
2) Rilee Rossouw
The South African batter made his debut for IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2014 season of IPL but completely failed to make an impact. Since 2015, he has not played a single game in IPL but considering his recent performance in the international circuit, Rilee will be the most crucial player for Delhi Capitals.
In 2022, Rilee has been part of 11 T20 fixtures and has scored 372 runs at an average of 46.50 and a strike rate of 176.30. He has suddenly gained the spotlight Delhi will get the benefit of his rhythm.
3) Axar Patel
The Indian spin maestro is the new name in the all-rounder section for team India. In the recently held T20 World Cup, Axar turned out to be an inconsistent performer but he made a comeback to the T20 squad against Sri Lanka in January 2023 and has gained the label of a finisher.
Axar has turned out to be a valuable spinner on the domestic pitches and he is scoring runs at a strike rate of 188.23. For Delhi, Axar is the right fit for the number 6 spot and he carries the capability to change the game for the team.
