Ojha's primary weapon was his ability to fly the ball and generate turns from the surface. Shivam Mavi was already a known name in domestic cricket in India as he was playing exceptionally well in the Indian Premier League. However, he made headlines in international cricket in 2023 by showcasing his talent against Sri Lanka.

Since then, Axar has become a crucial member of the team in all the formats of the game. In his 40 T20 internationals, Axar has picked up 37 wickets at an economy of 7.19. He is also known for his batting skills in the lower order.
