1) Conflict with umpires during the IPL 2019

In a match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019, there was a controversial no-ball decision that went against CSK. Dhoni, who was the captain of CSK, was visibly upset with the on-field umpires for not spotting the no-ball and argued with them on the field.

He entered the field of play to confront the umpires, which is against the rules. As a result, Dhoni was fined 50% of his match fee for breaching the code of conduct.

2) A heated exchange with umpire Aleem Dar in 2014

During an ODI match against England in 2014, Dhoni was given out caught behind off Ben Stokes' bowling by umpire Aleem Dar. Dhoni, who believed he had not edged the ball, got into a heated argument with Dar, expressing his dissatisfaction with the decision.

The exchange was captured on television cameras, and while Dhoni did not cross any disciplinary boundaries, it was a rare instance where he displayed visible frustration on the field.

3) Outburst during a Test match against Australia in 2014

In the third Test match of India's tour of Australia in 2014, Dhoni was run out controversially. He had played a shot, and the ball ricocheted off the bowler's hand onto the stumps while Dhoni was out of his crease.

The Australian players appealed, and the third umpire ruled Dhoni out. Dhoni, feeling hard done by the decision, showed his displeasure by hitting his bat on the ground and throwing his gloves in frustration as he walked back to the pavilion.
