On the bowling front, skipper Pat Cummins led from the front and picked up a fiver at an economy of 2.40. Nathan Lyon was also in the spotlight as he picked up 4 wickets at an economy of 3.88.
In the 2nd inning, the top order completely failed but it was Steve Smith (50 off 176) and Mitchell Marsh (96 off 130) who handled the innings and provided the scoring momentum.

The visitors started the 2nd Test on a positive note and they were in control of the game at the start. The bowlers did a fine job picking up timely breakthroughs and didn't allow the Aussie batters to dominate the game. Aamer Jamal picked up 3 wickets with Shaheen Afridi, Mir Hamza, and Hasan Ali picking up 2 wickets each.
On the batting front, Abdullah Shafique (52 off 109) and skipper Shan Masood (54 off 76) gave a good start to the team but the batting unit failed to build a constructive partnership. The middle order was a complete failure including Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel.
