Cody Gakpo, a Dutch winger from PSV, has been signed by Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window, a blow for Manchester United.
A deal for his transfer in the January transfer window with a price tag of approximately Β£37 million ($45 million) is nearing completion.
PSV said in a statement: “PSV and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement on the proposed transfer of Cody Gakpo. The 23-year-old attacker will leave for England imminently where he will be subjected to the necessary formalities ahead of the completion of the transfer.”
The 23-year-old was one of the star performers for the Netherlands as he scored three goals before his team was eliminated in the quarter-final stage.

Cody Gakpo almost signed for United last summer before making move for Ajax winger Antony. However, following the club's decision to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo's contract in November, the Red Devils were considering him once again in January.

Before it was confirmed that Liverpool had made a deal with PSV Eindhoven, Ten Hag argued that one of his existing roster players may help United with its goal-scoring issues.
