MI splurged 17.5 Crores for Cameron Green in the recently held IPL auctions. The reason for his price was his recent performance in the international circuit. Cameron Green is an allrounder who will become a strong part of the middle order for the Mumbai Indians.
The 23-year-old Australian cricketer made his debut in T20 cricket in 2022 and played 8 matches with a strike rate of 173.75 and scored 139 runs averaging 17.37. He also picked up 5 wickets while maintaining an economy of 8.90. Green is a crucial player for the Australian squad and it will be interesting to see him performing on the international pitches.
2) Jofra Archer
The wait is finally over to see Jofra Archer with Mumbai Indians. MI bought Jofra Archer during the IPL 2022 mega auctions but he was unable to be part of the team because of his injury.
It took him more than a year to get back to his original shape and finally, Archer will be making his presence felt again in the IPL tournament. Archer made his debut for IPL with Rajasthan Royals but the player was released in 2022. Mumbai Indian took the opportunity to sign him and it will be interesting to see him bowling his best pace with Jasprit Bumrah on the side.
3) Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah has been part of Mumbai Indians since 2013 but he made headlines in the 2016 season after his quality bowling. He immediately became a death-over specialist for Team India and MI. Bumrah is one of the most crucial players for teams in India and Mumbai. However, for the past 6 months, Bumrah has been out of action because of his back injury.
He was expected to make his return against Sri Lanka but the BCCI decided to give him some more time. IPL 2023 will be an interesting turn of events for Bumrah as he will be bowling with another deadly pacer Jofra Archer. The duo wonβt make it easy for any kind of opposition.
