America for the Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Max Verstappen continued his incredible run in the 2023 calendar, notching up another impressive win in Catalunya.
But it was Mercedes who impressed one and all, clinching a double podium with Lewis Hamilton finishing second and George Russell, third.
Heading into Montreal, Verstappen will aim for his sixth victory of the season to further extend his 53-point lead at the top of the driver's standings over his teammate Sergio Perez.
Mercedes will also hope to continue their resurgence, while Aston Martin will look to get back into the podium positions. Ferrari will also aim to bring an end to their slump which has seen them be less than convincing the whole year during the 2023 calendar.

There is a small chance of rain on all three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At the start of the race, conditions are expected to be cloudy with a high of 24 degrees Celsius, with periods of showers forecasted.
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has been in existence since 1978 and is one of Formula 1's oldest tracks. The circuit is 4.361 kilometers long and has 17 turns. The lap record at the circuit belongs to Finland's Valtteri Bottas, with a time of 1:13.078 in 2019.
The track remains a favourite for drivers due to its low downforce, stop-start nature, and heavy-braking chicanes. With people in Montreal embracing F1 and turning up in numbers, the Canadian Grand Prix is a real spectacle.

The Canadian Grand Prix returned last year after a hiatus of two years due to COVID-19 restrictions. Max Verstappen duly won the race in what was another big step towards him winning the championship.
Between 2016 and 2019, Lewis Hamilton was dominant in Montreal, winning three of the four races, with Sebastian Vettel taking victory in 2018.
