Sunrisers Hyderabad
Mumbai IndiansSunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 41 of IPL 2025 at Uppal on Wednesday night in the Indian Premier League.
MI, after a slow start to their campaign, have bounced back impressively with three consecutive victories, pushing themselves up to sixth place in the standings. In contrast, SRH have found little consistency, managing only two wins in their seven outings so far.
Both of those victories, however, have come at home, and they’ll be banking on the Uppal surface to tilt things in their favour once again. Still, with MI finding their groove, they appear to be the more composed and confident side heading into this clash.
With SKY, Tilak, Hardik, and Rohit in form, MI are more likely to clear the ropes consistently.

Mumbai IndiansHeading into the clash against Mumbai Indians, SRH will be hoping for a strong start from Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head—both of whom have shown their explosive potential when they get going early. Heinrich Klaasen remains a key figure in the middle, and while he hasn’t quite found his range this season, the team still believes he can shift gears when needed. Support acts like Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar haven’t made much of an impact yet, but expectations remain high.
One of the positives has been Aniket Verma’s late-order hitting. With a strike rate of 187, he’s been finishing innings strongly and could play a vital role again on a surface that’s been good for batting. MI’s bowlers will need to be on their toes at Uppal.
Bowling, however, remains SRH’s weak link. Mohammed Shami and Pat Cummins have lacked control in key moments, conceding runs when it matters most. Harshal Patel has been more effective, using his variations to disrupt batters in the middle overs. Young pacer Eshan Malinga has been another bright spot, consistently looking for breakthroughs and adding some spark to an otherwise underperforming attack.
Zeeshan Ansari can be key for SRH as he has four wickets in five matches, and he’s been effective in the middle phases.
Predicted Lineup: Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Aniket Verma, Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Zeeshan Ansari, Mohammed Shami, Eshan Malinga Impact Player: Abhinav Manohar
The Mumbai Indians' batting unit is finally coming together. While the top order of Rickelton, Jacks, and Rohit Sharma hasn’t been flawless, it’s done enough to lay platforms. Rohit’s unbeaten 76 off 45 balls against CSK was a timely reminder of what he brings when in form, and MI will want him to keep that rhythm going.
The real muscle lies in the middle. Suryakumar Yadav has been unstoppable, racking up 333 runs at an average of 55.50 and a strike rate over 160. His recent 68* off 30 balls was pure dominance, and he’ll be key once again in Hyderabad. Tilak Varma has chipped in with crucial knocks too, including two half-centuries in his last three games, making MI’s batting look increasingly formidable.
Hardik Pandya and Naman Dhir round out the lower order, both capable of rapid-fire cameos that can tilt matches late. Pandya has also stepped up with the ball, grabbing 11 wickets so far and maintaining control through the middle overs with an economy under nine.
The bowling attack looks settled and dangerous. Boult’s new-ball impact and death-over accuracy continue to shine, while Bumrah’s return has added bite and control. Deepak Chahar has taken wickets but remains a bit of a gamble at the death.
Santner has chipped in with tight spells and will be key for the Mumbai Indians.
Predicted Lineup: Ryan Rickelton (wk), Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Naman Dhir, Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Ashwani Kumar Impact Player: Rohit Sharma
Mumbai Indians head into this one with momentum on their side, and their batting firepower—especially Suryakumar and Rohit—looks too strong for an inconsistent SRH attack.
Hyderabad might put up a fight if their top order fires early, but MI’s all-round depth gives them the edge. Back Mumbai to win this comfortably.
